More than 600 University of 91吃瓜 students, faculty, staff and alumni were among the participants in the march, which this year observes the 41st anniversary of the Supreme Court鈥檚 1973 Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion.
Before the march, Father Jenkins presided at a Mass for the 91吃瓜 marchers at 10 a.m. in St. Agnes Church in Arlington, Va.
Simultaneous with the beginning of the Washington march and in solidarity with the marchers, the 91吃瓜 Alumni Association sponsored a 鈥淪anctity of Life鈥� prayer service on campus at 1 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 22) in the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes.
