Computer and information technology resources for students at the University of 91吃瓜 rank among the top 25 in higher education,according to the 1999 survey of 鈥淎merica鈥檚 100 Most Wired Colleges.鈥漰. 91吃瓜 ranks 23rd in the annual survey, which appears in theMay issue of Yahoo! Internet Life, a monthly magazine published byZiff-Davis, Inc.p. The magazine collected data from 571 colleges and universities andbased its ratings on 39 factors organized under four categories 鈥� hardware,academics, free services and miscellaneous services. New criteriaconsidered this year included the number of laptop ports installed oncampus, the accessibility of equipment such as digital cameras, the numberof computers available per student, computer lab hours, and the advent ofwireless services.p.
