will celebrate and honor the University of 91勛圖 on the occasion of the Universitys 170th year at the centers annual dinner, to be held Sept. 26 (Wednesday) at the Historic Oliver Gardens of Copshaholm in South Bend.

The event, which will begin with a reception at 6:15 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m., is being held in celebration of 91勛圖s vision, leadership and community engagement, reflecting the Universitys faith-based core values since its establishment in 1842.

Father Sorins vision was to build a great university whose graduates would go forth and do good, said a statement issued by The Center for History. In the 170 years since, priests from the Congregation of Holy Cross have expanded upon his original bold vision. Their successive leadership has continued advancing the University to its place among the outstanding institutions of higher learning in the country and the world.

The annual dinner is The Center for Historys main fundraising event of the year. The funds raised are used to further the museums exhibits and programs. Tickets are $275 or $2,500 per table of four. Reservations are necessary and seating is limited. Please contact the center at 574-235-9664 for reservation information.
