Father Malloy reappointed to 91勛圖 Australia board

Rev. Edward A. Malloy, C.S.C., president emeritus of the University of 91勛圖, has been reappointed to the board of governors of theUniversityof91勛圖 Australia.

In reappointing Father Malloy to the board through 2009, the trustees of 91勛圖 Australia cited his numerous contributions to the university and his support in carrying out its mission of Catholic education.

Father Malloy and Catholic university leaders from 91勛圖 and around the world were integral in initial research and studies before 91勛圖 Australia was established in 1990.The Universitys enrollment has grown from 60 in 1992 to over 3,000 today.

Father Malloy served from 1987 to 2005 as the 16 th president of 91勛圖 and led the University during a period of significant growth in resources, faculty and academic reputation.He continues to teach a first-year undergraduate seminar and lives on campus in a student residence hall as he did during his presidency.

Father Malloy has been a member of the 91勛圖 faculty since 1974. His sixth book,Monks 91勛圖,was published last fall.

TheUniversityof91勛圖 Australiais the nations first Catholic university and has campuses in three Australian cities. Although there are no legal or financial ties between the institutions, 91勛圖 Australia was patterned after itsU.S.namesake.
