Dr. Tyvette Hilliard, a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of , Director of , has received a highly competitive 5-year K01 Research Career Development award from the NIH/NCI. Her project titled, 鈥楾he Impact of Maternal Obesity on the Reprogramming of the Metastatic Microenvironment鈥� will investigate聽how maternal obesity may influence the susceptibility of offspring to ovarian cancer metastasis. Tyvette is the first-ever K01 awardee from the University of 91吃瓜.聽 The Harper聽Cancer Research聽Institute is happy to retain this highly promising young investigator as she begins her track record of independent federal funding here at 91吃瓜.
