An article in 91吃瓜 Magazine by editor Kerry Temple has been selected as one of the outstanding essays of the year.p. 鈥淭he Cairn Builder,鈥� which appeared in the autumn 2001 issue of 91吃瓜鈥檚 quarterly magazine, was cited in the 2002 volume of 鈥淭he Best American Essays,鈥� published by Houghton Mifflin Company. The essay examines the themes of teaching and writing. A 1974 graduate of 91吃瓜, Temple has been recognized on four previous occasions as a premier American essayist. Among other authors honored this year were fellow 91吃瓜 graduates Brian Doyle and Barry Lopez, both of whom have written for 91吃瓜 Magazine in recent years.p.
