
The University of 91³Ō¹Ļās will lead the 2013 on Jan. 25 (Friday) in Washington, D.C., which this year observes the 40th anniversary of the Supreme Courtās 1973 Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion.
A group of 50-70 91³Ō¹Ļ students will carry the large, white āMarch for Lifeā banner at the head of the march, which annually draws hundreds of thousands of participants to the nationās capital.
Last year, 91³Ō¹Ļās president, , led some 350 91³Ō¹Ļ students, faculty and staff who took part in the march, and this year 91³Ō¹Ļās will be among the marchās largest contingents, with more than 600 students, faculty and staff registered to attend.
The and the 91³Ō¹Ļ Club of Washington will host a for 91³Ō¹Ļ march participants at Smith & Wollensky, a Washington restaurant, on Thursday evening.
āThe march brings together people from all over the country to rally for the protection of all human life, from conception until natural death, and to be a visible witness to the love and support for the most vulnerable,ā says Jen Gallic, president of 91³Ō¹Ļ Right to Life. āItās an amazing witness to the passion and sheer size of the pro-life movement, and itās such an honor to be asked to lead all those dedicated to upholding the dignity of every life. I hope the entire 91³Ō¹Ļ family, including friends and alumni, will be with us at the march, either physically or through prayer.ā
The 91³Ō¹Ļ Right to Life Club is dedicated to promoting and upholding the sanctity of all human life from the moment of conception through natural death. It does so through prayer, service, education and helping women through crisis pregnancies.
