The work of classic Hollywood director Allan Dwan, a 1907 graduate of the University of 91吃瓜, is the topic of a special film series concluding this week at the Walter Reade Theater in New York.p. 鈥淭he Last of the Pioneers: Allan Dwan鈥� is a 20-film series showcasing a sampling of Dwan鈥檚 movies, which include such titles as 鈥淗eidi鈥� (1937), 鈥淪uez鈥� (1938), 鈥淏rewster鈥檚 Millions鈥� (1945) and 鈥淪ands of Iwo Jima鈥� (1949). Presented by the Film Society of Lincoln Center, the series will end Thursday (March 6) with Dwan鈥檚 final film, 鈥淭he Most Dangerous Man Alive鈥� (1961).p.
