Dean A. Porter, director of 91吃瓜鈥檚 Snite Museum of Art, will resign his position effective July 1, 1999, according to Collin K. Meissner, assistant provost. Porter will take a year-long sabbatical to paint and pursue research on American art before returning to the Museum in 2000 as curator of American art and director emeritus.p.
